Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada, one of the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in several television series. She was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents moved to the US which they received asylum. She was raised by her two sisters in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her camera career by being featured in numerous National Commercials. She was honored with the award in recognition of her role in Chiara, the main character of Laura Neri's 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose. She appeared as a guest star in several TV shows, such as How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars Wedding Bells Num3RS Bones Psych & Castle. She most recently played as a character supporting in Blood Shot (2009). In addition, she appeared as an uninvolved comedian in You Only Better 2009. Ghanizada was a part of the General Hospital spinoff General Hospital which was telecast on primetime television. Season 2 of Nightshift saw Ghanizada portray Dr. Saira Bhatra, a doctor who specializes in holistic medical practices. In 2009 Ghanizada was Kelly a Prada saleswoman on HBO's Entourage and joined the cast of the television show's pilot Tough Trade from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan and executive producer T Bone Burnett.
